Education
Dr. Gordi received his Master in pharmacy followed by his PhD in clinical PK/PD from Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. He has also spent 2 years as post-doctoral fellow at the University at Buffalo under the supervision of Dr. W. J. Jusko. Dr. Gordi has an MBA from University of Nevada, Reno.
Industrial Experience
Dr. Gordi has worked in large pharma (Pharmacia Singapore Ltd., Roche Palo Alto), small biotech and formulation companies (CV Therapeutics, currently part of Gilead Sciences, and Depomed Inc.), and consulting firm (President at Rosa & Co.). His positions included Clinical Pharmacology Leader, Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology, Associate Director of Clinical PK, Senior Pharmacometrician, and President of PK/PD and Clinial Pharmacology Services. During his years in the industry, Dr. Gordi has been involved in preclinial, clinical pharmacology, and phase 2 and 3 clinical studies. He has also experience in special population, (ethnic) bridging, and formulation studies.
Experience in PK/PD Analysis
Toufigh has performed non-compartmental PK analysis and produced preclinical and clinical study reports. Moreover, he has used population modeling and simulation techniques to help gain better understanding of the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs in development. His modeling and simulation analyses have been included in several NDAs, IBs, and internal reports. Several of Dr. Gordi's PK/PD analysis reports have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience in FDA Communications
Dr. Gordi has produced clinical pharmacology and modeling and simulation sections of INDs, End of Phase 2 documents, and NDAs. He has been involved in various meeting with FDA officials.
Experience in Business Development
Dr. Gordi received his MBA from University Nevada, Reno in August 2015. Toufigh's experiences in BD include use of modeling and simulation in presenting company drugs to potential partners, assessing candidate molecules for joint clinical development, scientific adviser to the business development and marketing teams, input to marketing statement, as well as proposing and designing marketing studies.
